Bio

Sharda Kohli, MBA, is Senior Director of Administration for the department of Radiation Oncology at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and New Jersey Medical School. She has more than 10 years of experience in radiation oncology administration and has devoted her career to health care administration. She has been a member of SROA since 2008 and has been actively involved with the Editorial Board (formerly Communications Committee) since 2015 and the Mentoring Committee since 2016.

During her time at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Sharda developed the infrastructure necessary to grow the department’s research portfolio to exceed $20 million in extramural funding including NIH, DOD, state and other peer reviewed awards. She facilitated the growth of Rutgers Cancer Institute’s ambulatory radiation oncology clinics from one small clinic to five practice locations. She was also instrumental in the development of the radiation oncology and medical physics residency programs, establishing Rutgers Cancer Institute as the leader in radiation oncology residency training in New Jersey. In addition, Sharda oversaw the development and implementation of workflows and processes for successful MIPS attestation in the radiation oncology practice at Rutgers Cancer Institute.

As Secretary-Treasurer of SROA, Sharda aims to bring her diverse experience in the academic and health care sphere to the workings of the organization and provide fresh perspective that will help fuel growth and build reputation.
